摘要:Members of KCNE family are membrane proteins with single transmembrane helix. They are all found to associate and modulate alpha-subunit of different potassium channels. KCNQ1 is a voltage gated delayed outward rectified potassium channel and have very diverse but essential functions in brain and cardiovascular system. KCNE1 and KCNE2 are known to associate with KCNQ1 but have different modulation influences. Three dimensional structure of KCNE1 and KCNE2 have been determined in the presence of detergent micelles, using solution NMR. Some local differences have been observed through examing structure of KCNE1 and KCNE2. Furthermore, computation and physiological studies indicate that KCNE1 and KCNE2 have different dynamic regulation on KCNQ1 potassium conductance.

田长麟 教授,博士生导师。2003年5月在美国佛罗里达州立大学获得生物物理博士学位。2003年到2006年在美国范德比尔特大学结构生物学中心作博士后研究。
主要研究兴趣:
主要研究方向为应用多种方法和技术手段研究与疾病相关的膜蛋白(主要是受体和离子通道蛋白),结核杆菌外膜蛋白的结构和动力学,主要的研究手段有液体核磁共 振、电子顺磁共振、X-射线晶体学和X射线小角散射等技术。同时结合其他化学生物学、生物物理学方法如非天然氨基酸、全自动膜片钳以及受体药理学等开展膜 蛋白的结构和功能研究。目前已经在Science, JACS, Biochemistry,FASEB Journal等国际一流杂志上发表了独立研究和合作研究的相关工作。
